Mx.Terry in the Commons is a short video work made for the inter-nordic online queer art platform Ergi. The work was made in the depths of Covid-Lockdown á 2021 and brought out Andreas’ bedroom drag disaster Mx.Terry (formerly known as Ms.Terry) to the screen. The video follows the desperate Mx.Terry as they deal with the emotional repercussions of the dying Commons. Filmed in Amager Fælled (The Amager Commons, Copenhagen) the drag character teases the audience to mourn together in tears of camp. Mx.Terry was choreographer Andreas Haglunds' quick rendez-vous with drag as an art form. Although Andreas aesthetics have matured since 2021, they are both longing to rekindle their common love for a camp sensibility, alien gender performance and intersection of queerness and ecology.
